GAMBLING PREVENTION:
The Ambassador Project
Massachusetts Ambassador Project
At Gándara Center, we're proud to present the Massachusetts Ambassador Project, an initiative aimed at preventing problem gambling in our communities. Our program empowers men of color in recovery to facilitate gambling prevention conversations with peers who have experienced substance use, promoting awareness and support.
About the Funder
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Office of Problem Gambling Services funds our project, ensuring a culturally responsive, data-driven approach to problem gambling prevention.
Our Commitment
The Massachusetts Ambassador Project takes a peer-based, community-centered, and culturally responsive approach to address the links between gambling, substance use, and mental health. By engaging individuals through personal, group, and community interactions, we foster a holistic, supportive environment for prevention and recovery. Together, we strive to build healthier, stronger communities.
